Yesterday all pupils from R1-10 participated in Environmental Workshops hosted by Green Up Your Act
It was a great day all round with pupils learning about rain forests and earth ships (buildings made from natural and up-cycled material).
R1-4 ventured outdoors to the GT to help furnish a bug house and the R4 class are going to secure it the outdoor classroom -hopefully some bugs will move in – they were told that bees could colonise the bamboo!
R5-8 made up-cycled notebooks that fit perfectly into their blazer pockets and R9-10 had a trickier time but successfully made a wallet out of a juice carton!
There was a lot of fun alongside some important lessons about caring for the Environment, something that, as a Round Square school, we really care about.
