Mrs Lisa Barnes

The year two children in Hawthorne class had a great time this morning, making Pinecone bird feeders which we then hung in our school garden. Phil talked to the children about the changes in autumn and the need for birds to find food over the winter months. We then collected some some flower heads from our school garden which we use to make the feeders. Each child was able to make their own pinecone bird feeder. Not only did the children enjoy this creative activity, but it help them see the real links between seasonal changes now we can help animals fine food in our local environment. Highly recommended!!
